Have you ever wanted to learn about the mythical beyond of the Greeks and the Romans? Well I know that I wanted to. In my book The Mark of Athena there are demigods who are on a mission to save the original Rome from the giants, but on their way to get the help from the Roman demigods they end up fighting each other into complete betrayal. So just the seven of the demigods Annabeth, Piper, Jason, Hazel, Frank, Percy, and Leo have to save all of Rome by themselves. I feel that Hazel was very averse when making this decision. If I was there on that scene when Gaea (The mother of all the Gods) was controlling both of Hazel’s friends telling her to choose who would die between the two of them, I think I would just freak out and not be able to choose who would die. I say that I couldn’t choose because I am not a very good decision maker to begin with and it would be even harder to choose if whoever didn’t get picked died. In the book Hazel does not choose who dies so Gaea makes them duel each other and the guys can’t control their own bodies it’s almost like someone was doing it for them. Thankfully for Hazel though she knows some charm speak which let her control the guys out of fighting so they don’t kill each other. You can tell she gets ahold of Percy and Jason from her saying “She forced herself to focus. She poured all of her anger into her voice. “Eidolon, stop.” Percy froze. “Face me,” Piper ordered. The son of the sea god turned.” (Riordan 133). If I were in her spot in the book I don’t think I would have the courage to stand up to Gaea and be able to save my friends. I would have been as scared as a turtle. You can tell that it was a good thing that I was not Hazel in situation because all of us would have
