In the TV episode, The Monsters are due on Maple Street, there are some similarities and differences compared to the teleplay, The Monsters are due on Maple Street, written by Rod Serling. One of the similarities between the episode and teleplay was the plot, the story stayed the same throughout the whole episode compared to the teleplay. Another similarity was when Pete Van Horn left for Floral Street. When he came back, Charlie shot him. One of the differences was in the teleplay, they described Tommy as a young boy in spectacles, in the TV episode, Tommy looked at least 12 and didn’t have spectacles. Also, in the teleplay there were visible stage directions, on the episode. The stage directions weren’t typed out on the screen. During
