1. When I first began reading this piece of work I knew I was going to enjoy it! The reason for this was because it reminded me of Romeo and Juliet! I also realized that this story was told in the third person through an unknown person as the narrator. I also realized that towards the middle it got a bit confusing for me that sometimes I had to take a minute and go back to assure I understood everything.

In the play A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Titania and Oberon show the thematic idea of complicated love, because love has its ups and downs. Oberon and Titania see each other for the first time in a while and Oberon says, “Tarry, rash wanton. Am not I thy lord?” (2.1.63). This quote shows that Titania and Oberon hate each other so much.
Isn’t That Ironic? Imagine you are Bottom, and you wake up finding your friends running in fear, once they see you. You, Bottom, are the “victim” in this dramatic irony example. Irony is when a person says something, but means the opposite.
This results into two men loving the same woman, and one woman with too many suiters and the other one with too few. But somehow the story has a happy end. Moreover, although Egeus, Hermia’s father triggers the conflict by his sever insistence for Hermia to respect his wishes by marrying Demetrius, the major cause of the love conflict is the love potion. This potion is made from a flower that was struck with one of Cupid’s arrows and it is used by the fairies to cause romantic love throughout the play.
This play shows multiple examples of irony throughout the story. Shakespeare shows that in the story because all the characters feeling were mixed up while they were in The fairies forest. King Oberon wanted his wife, Titania to love something bad so he told one of his fairies to go and get a flower that when is applied on the eyes, makes the person love the first thing they see. The first thing she saw was a donkey.
William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is still relevant, for it contains Mood, Dream Motif, and Genre Romantic Comedy to which audiences can still relate to today. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a story that expresses many different moods. The first mood for one of my examples is sadness.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream In the 19th century version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the costumes, the setting, a and the presentation of the production was very traditional. First of all, the costumes and makeup choices were elegant and classic, but also had a modern flare. For example, Thisbe’s costume was elaborate during the play within a play scene, and the couples’ costumes were high class. Also, not many actors wore makeup in this version. Additionally, the setting of the 19th century version was traditional, too.

My mind started to screech with motivation and my hands clenched up with extreme animosity and shaking as if I were holding her heart, squeezing as tightly as I possibly could, putting forth decades of anger into my grip.

Love is Difficult “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare is filled with many mixed emotions and lots of different themes. Although there are many different themes that readers can interpret, one that really stands out is that love is difficult. This theme is supported when Hermia 's father tries to tear Hermia and Lysander apart and they decide the best decision is to run away together. Also Oberon and Titania can 't stand each other and always get into arguments. The love potion throughout the play messed up Titania and Oberon’s true love.
