Shipwrecked. Stranded on a desert island. Human prey. There is nothing that will get your attention more than that. The Most Dangerous Game tells a tale of a man who was involved in a human hunting game. The book was later written as a movie. Although the base of the movie was similar, the characters and their adventures slightly changed in comparison to the book. The ending, on the other hand was dramatically different. Sometimes reading a book and watching a movie can tell two different stories, such is the case with The Most Dangerous Game. “There are two types of people: the hunter and the hunted.” This was a famous quote from the story. Although Robert Rainsford thought he was a hunter, The General classified him as the hunted, along with all other humans who passed through the island. Rainsford discovers that General Zaroff hunts humans when he does not agree to hunt with Zaroff. Rainsford becomes the next target. Rainsford is still looking after Eve, and their time for the hunting game is up. Everyone, including Zaroff, remain alive. Rainsford and Eve head back to Zaroff’s house, and Zaroff begins to attack them. Rainsford kills the last of Zaroff’s servants then fights Zaroff. During Rainsford and Zaroff’s struggle, Rainsford kills Zaroff by stabbing him with an arrow. This is when Rainsford escapes the house. He gets Eve, and they find the boat that Zaroff said they could use if they won. When they were in the boat leaving, Eve notices that Zaroff is still not dead. He is about to shoot them with his bow and arrow, but since he had already been stabbed, he lost his balance and ends up falling out of the window. Rainsford and Eve now continue on their journey home. In both situations Rainsford was a brave man. He fought for his life, and, in the film, he manages to keep Eve safe along with
