If you had a vision, would you warn someone about it, or actually go and do it? Nat Turner had a vision to tell the slaves to go and kill their owners. He wanted to do what the vision said so the slaves would be free. He did not know however, that he caused an important event in the US history. The Nat Turner slave revolt was linked to American History and it led to the Civil War. This can be proven because, the Nat Turner slave revolt was significant to American History because a lot of slaves got killed, which made new laws, and it was the main cause of the Civil War.

The north hates slavery, so they got mad at the south for what happened. At first, when the north found out that the slaves were fighting back, they got a little joyful. Then, the north got fired up when they heard that the government was going to set new rules. The north then wanted to fight the south because the slave laws got more harsher because of the new laws. The north also got mad at the south because more than 120 slaves were killed during the event. The south however got mad at the north because the slaves were the ones that killed more than 65 slave owners. The south also thought that slaves are not important, so they don’t understand the main problem that they killed a lot of slaves. Slavery is the main problem that caused the civil war from happening.
