Climate change is a very important aspect in the world we live in. It is a natural occurrence in which the earth is trying to adapt to the natural setting that is occurring at the moment and can be manipulated very easily. Imagine a balance scale, with one side being a hotter climate and the other side being a colder climate. If either sides of the scale are unbalanced, the world we live in would not be able to sustain life as we know it. Climate change has been occurring ever since the beginning of time, and has been on a constant rise ever since mankind was put on this earth. If we, as humans, aren’t able to take control of our actions, life on earth as we know it might be facing extinction. The Earth was created 4.5 billion years …show more content…
Volcano eruptions, solar output (amount of energy the sun puts out), and the earth’s rotation around the sun all are natural causes in why the climate changes. Climate change caused by human interaction is mainly due to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, natural gas, oil, and other fossil fuels for energy. We are releasing a dangerous amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere, which make the greenhouse effect stronger. There are two other types of gases that are also released by human activity, which is making the greenhouse effect stronger. These gases are methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O). Although both are naturally released by nature, human activities have increased the amount of both, thus causing more problems with climate change. “Climate change is real. Climate change is being substantially increased by humans and the carbon we put into the atmosphere and it appears to be speeding up. If science has made any mistakes, science has been underestimating it” (James …show more content…
Climate change effects the earth in many ways. Since human activities have made the greenhouse effect stronger, this causes more energy from the sun to be trapped within our atmosphere instead of getting released back into space. The effects are shrinking of the glaciers, the ice that is in lakes and rivers is breaking up more easily, and plants and flowers are shifting their natural growth patterns, which causes them to bloom sooner than
