The Once and Future King, written by T.H. White, is a chronical of the life of King Arthur. It is comprised of four shorter books that detail the different stages of his life. In The Sword in the Stone, the first book, King Arthur or Wart, as he was referred to at the time, learns that justice and fairness are better than the “might makes right philosophies of the warring tribes from the lessons of his tutor, Merlyn.
