The evaluation of The Outsiders by S.E Hinton as form of YAL. When I step out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the internet café......After doing some serious research on YAL (Young Adult Literature) I can as surely evaluate the fact that The Outsiders by S.E Hinton complies to most of the requirements to an original novel of YAL from experiencing things for the first time to the unimportance of consequences in the heat of the moment. The fourteen-year-old teenager Ponyboy Curtis one of the many greasers we meet in the novel makes it clear to us about how life is when you're a poor kid that lives on the wrong side of town in Oklahoma. Most of the characters are young adults or teenagers and the story is definitely told from the way they see and experience things. Both protagonists and antagonists are teenagers. The book has no hooks and hurdles because it is told out of a teen perspective it is sensible and easy to understand. Thus we can relate that the book complies to one of the many requirements of YAL when the story is told out of a teenager's perspective. …show more content…

Not even talking about Dally that was stealing again and this time the cops took his life. Another requirement of YAL is that teens experiment with a lot of things for the first time not knowing what the consequences may
