A hero can be anyone such as your friend, your next door neighbor, or even your sibling. A hero is a person who will risk their life or defend others from harm’s way. In “The Outsiders” by S.E Hinton, Ponyboy is a hero. Johnny is a hero because kills someone to save an innocent person. Cherry teaches Ponyboy lessons about her experiences which also makes her a hero.
1.) Introduction A hero never rests. A hero is someone who acts with justice and helps others. examples of hero’s are Ponyboy, Johnny and Darry. Ponyboy is a good person who risks his life for others in need.
Throughout the novel, Hinton characterizes Johnny as A skinny scared boy who has been kicked around to many times. The Outsiders is about Ponyboy Curtis and his brothers, Sodapop and Darry, belong to a group of poor teenage boys called greasers. Many of them have led hard lives already, and they are tough, angry and unforgiving. They often fight with the Socs, the group of wealthy, privileged boys who beat them up for fun. In the novel The Outsiders a hero is a person, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.
In the book, “ The Outsiders” by S.E Hinton it talks about how johnny killed bob, but we are discussing if Johnny is innocent or guilty. In my opinion johnny is guilty because he didn 't have a reason good enough to kill bob. On my next paragraph I will give you reasons on why he is guilty of bob’s death. My first reason is that “ He doesn 't have the right to kill him” because no matter what he should of never killed him. First, Johnny does not have the right to murder anybody no matter how much they have hurt you.

In the beginning of the novel, The Outsiders, written by S.E Hinton, the author portrays Johnny Cade as a weak and helpless character in the book. He`s seen as a dynamic character that has gone through extremely tough times that are difficult for him to handle alone. ``He was the gangs`pet, everyones` kid brother``, if it hadn`t been for the gang Johnny would have never felt love nor affection. He always seemed to have an anxious and suspicious look in his eyes, he was a nervous wreck. Many of these are considered dynamic characters because of changes they induced throughout the plot. In S.E. Hinton’s novel The Outsiders, Johnny Cade is a character that goes through a major change in personality. At first a boy who is afraid of his own shadow, Johnny turns into a gallant hero that risked his life to save children.
Johnny knew he would be next so he acted before any more harm could come to Ponyboy and himself. Johnny technically used self-defense too. He defended Ponyboy who was helpless and defended himself. Another line from the book proves they wouldn’t stop by saying on pg. 55, “You could use a bath greaser, and we’ve got all night to do
In the Outsiders, the characters usually make bad decisions. The Greasers are a gang that function like family, and Johnny’s decisions are not so good. But sometimes they can be spot on. The theme is watch out for what decisions you make, Understand that what ever choice you make there will be a consequence. Johnny made the difficult choice to kill Bob.
Although, in the beginning of the book the author did not consider him a prominent character, but it became clear later in the book that he had heroic qualities. Johnny had many hardships and struggles at home that no child should ever have to go through. He had a father that would get drunk and beat Johnny. In contrast to the way Johnny could have chosen to act based on this he still chose to exit kindness people. Johnny heroic qualities did not get recognized in the book until after he rescued the kids from the burning church building.
To begin with, Nancy has an unhealthy relationship with Bill Sikes; he is emotionally and physically abusive to her. Majority of the time, Nancy’s life is threatened if she does not obey what Bill says. For example, Oliver had ran away from Fagin’s home too and so it was Nancy’s duty to bring Oliver back to Fagin’s because Monks want him dead. Nancy does what she is told and is very loyal to the gang because she would do anything they tell her to do.
