The outsiders, between the two mediums will be shown the comparisons of the disadvantages and advantages. For example you use your imagination when you read but when you watch the movie you don’t use your imagination. When you use your imagination you think a lot about what's going on and you try figuring it out what happened or what's going to happen. You are trying to figure out what they look like and what they are doing and how they are doing what they are doing. You can also tell what's going on by the settings of the book. In the novel it gives you details about what’s going on in the story. For example you tell you the backstories about what happened to the people and people in their life. For the movies made from books are usually cut into a time limit. So if the movies aren't limited you will be watching the movie for hours. When you read the book there is no limit you can read it for however long you want. The movie doesn't explain how the book explains it they are the opposite. I think the novel is better because it explains more and it goes in more details about what happened. For some people they like to use their imagination when they read. The reasons why i like it is because it explains way more and it tell you about what to the people like for example Johnny it tells you about his parents and what they did to him. In the book it also explain why soda is so sad it's because of what happened to sandy and where her parents took her. Also with Dally when he went to New York it gives us why and he went but in the movie it didn’t tell us anything about New York. So for the novel and the movie you can tell everything has advantages and disadvantages. Maybe you didn't think nothing was wrong with book or movies but there is always something wrong. Like the novels disadvantages were that you couldn't see the people but you use your imagination so that's one advantages.
