The book I chose was Code Talkers the book is about the Navajo Marines of World War Two. The writer of my book, Joseph Bruchac writes books relating to indigenous people of America, He also focuses on Anglo-americans and Natives. The reason i chose this book is because it is a fictional book but is based on Facts. So when you read the book your learning information but it’s not boring you because it’s has that fictional story to get you interested in the book.
Charlie is a good student, he attends school regularly, has earned a perfect attendance certification and is a all-around good student. “Hero’s return” by Kristen Hunter is about a young boy, named Jody, who goes through a transition with the help of his older brother Junior. Junior has been in the “house” for eighteen months, and is now finally out. Jody impatient to see his brother later on notices that his brother has changed. Junior wanting to help his younger brother change, and not do the same mistakes as him, makes him live 4 days of jail. This short story is directed mostly towards teens but can also be read by adults.
