The book The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbrosky is about a young boy by the name of Charlie. Charlie writes letters just like a diary but not quite. His letters are his experiences with beginning high school and meeting new people. He gets caught up in many things such as drugs. No one knows who he is writing to or where he lives but he does share how he feels and the world in which he lives in. The advertisement for this novel includes“It will take you though a journey in which you will feel sad and happy at the same in reality you won’t know exactly why.” This was used to catch the reader’s attention, causing them to want to read this book.
