Thesis Proposal

Abstract
To summarize, my thesis will focus on the politics of the male gaze in editorial photography, whether it is art or porn, and look into the ethics of editorial design. I would like to discover if this is infact something wrong with our society, or if it is just how the industry is going. Why does the industry not have a problem hiring a supposed sexual predator? I believe the case study method of research is the most appropriate for me to use in my thesis as it focuses on the one industry and its weaknesses. From doing this thesis I expect my results to show a clearly flawed industry which uses sex and pursuasion in order to achieve success.
I plan to read and study numerous magazines which will inform me on the subject matter. There has been numerous articles online, and also photography books, and journals.
If in future, my study has consequences, I expect them to be few and far between. If I carry out the study successfully it will hopefully inform and educate society about the dark side of fashion
