There has been an extensive disagreement on abortion for years with no solution. Nonetheless, there are alternatives that a woman can choose other than abortion. Abortion should not be an option to have since there are so many alternatives to select from. In this paper I will provide the various other options to consider rather than abortion and propose a possible solution to erase the segregation between pro-life and pro-choice activist.

Why is abortion not a crime when it consist of death of a child? According to 10 Leading Causes of Death by Age Group United States, (2013), “337 deaths under four years old were homicides.” I realize that abortion is not taken as seriously as the other causes of death for a children.
Abortion should not be a choice with so many other options available. Possible alternatives for each woman thinking of having an abortion are interim foster care, adoption, or joint parenting. Interim foster care could be very beneficial in the process of making your decision. An advantage of interim foster care is it creates a safe environment for a newborn. It gives the woman the time she needs to decide what to do. This benefit can last for a few hours or many months. “Birth parents may need more time to decide whether an adoption plan is best. With interim foster care, the birth mom doesn’t have the pressure of making or finalizing her decision during her hospital stay.”(Birthmothers, 2013) A disadvantage of interim foster care is the woman needs to choose an adoption family and will need to get to know the family before offering her baby to the loving family.
