Young people should never come across a book that has any kind of inappropriate language or pictures. Students who read this kind of content will not grow in any way and can honestly be very negative to their learning and harmful in life. This is why literary classics should be censored or edited to remove dangerous and offensive content. Many times when in a public place there are kids/ young people acting out towards their parents or even cursing at them. These habits aren’t inherited, they are specifically taught to the children from either a parent or an adult they look up to. But, not only that this is even being taught in schools and libraries from books that these kids may read. These books are just put into libraries at random for a kid to check out and read, not realizing the actions and words in them can harm innocent kids. …show more content…

In “Libraries, the First Amendment and Banned Books The First Amendment of the US Constitution” it states, “The defenders of the “right to read” believe in the benefits of free and open access to information and are concerned about the harms of censorship.” But, these kids being exposed to these kinds of words or actions is being taken in their heads as what they think is right. This is why kids go home saying bad words or doing things they shouldn’t at their age. But, then that would be brought back to the fact they learned that at school so the school and writers of the literary classics should be the ones to blame, not the students
