In the world today, teenagers aren’t making smart decisions about sexual intercourse. You try to reason with them, but they simply won’t cooperate. The solution? Contraceptives. With contraceptives given to teenagers, poverty, health issues, teenage pregnancy, and teenage pregnancy rates can take a turn for the better.
When it comes to areas on earth like Africa and India, many forms of birth control are unavailable. However, this does not have to deal with how often women are having sex. The situation of whether birth control is available comes down to a variety culprits. One of which, is poverty. Statistics show that women who cannot afford, or do not have anywhere to get birth control, are more likely to get pregnant. Sure, this could raise birth rates, but when it comes to teenagers, it robs them of a successful living. Consequently, teenagers who did not have availability of birth control, are usually forced to drop out of school to care for their child. This causes a huge problem for the economy and transitions in the demographic transition model.
