According to Webster's dictionary, propaganda is defined as, “the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person.”
Censorship can be used because of offensive, sensitive, harmful, or objectionable speech/ideas. In life, censorship is used a lot, more than people think. It also affects lives too. People barely notice it, or care for it, but censorship is there. Censorship has been used for a long time, it has a lot of history.

One example is comedian George Carlin who was forced to censor the content in his acts because people believed that it was too profane for his fans and other people in the audience. This, of course, created huge controversy due to the fact that forcing people to censor their words is a violation of their first amendment right to free speech. This was such a big deal because the people of America fought for years for that right. Another example is the riots and killings taking place in Ferguson, Missouri.

That means there is a fine line between censorship being wrong and censorship being okay. The only way something should even be censored is when speech becomes clearly hazardous to the nation's wellbeing. For example pornography is often wanted to be used as a reason for censoring, yet the term is not a legal term at all.

Federal Censorship Needs to End Censorship in the United States has gone too far. Censorship is the practice of preventing access to information. This can be the removal of media to silencing individuals who are promoting ideas. The United States Government needs to restrict what it is censoring because it is a violation of its citizens first amendment rights, not censoring promotes free speech, and censoring anything can have negative effects on the citizens of the United States. When the United States was founded, it had to write itself a set of rules.
How would I feel about government control and censorship? I would feel extremely angry and stressed out. It would be hard for people to adapt to a culture like that. The government would control everything and censor what you do. Meaning you are limited to things you can do and allowed to watch.
