Book Wars: The Future of Reading This 21st century, an extensive range of technological advancements have been reached, along with that, numerous changes have been made from the simple day-to-day activities up to those complicated tasks. One example of change brought about by technology is the medium of reading in the society. Even though reading is still considered by many as their favorite leisure activity, several differences can be noticed in the way of reading before and on the way of reading now. For the past 10 years, students can be seen reading a book while riding a bus meanwhile students nowadays are immersed in their tablets and phones. Hence, a new and advanced way of reading, called e-book, was presented to the society. Because of that, various debates have arisen regarding e-books replacing textbooks or printed books. Despite the growing popularity of e-books, numerous studies have shown that e-books also have the disadvantages that make it not fitting to replace the traditional books. With that, printed books should continue to exist and should not be displaced by e-books.
E-books, compared to textbooks, are far more convenient and effective to the students. First, e-book comes with a myriad of features that could enhance the reader 's experience. Instead of using a flashlight at night when reading a textbook, e-book

Books are more than 1000 years old but they still give off that special feeling that even e-books could never offer. Most importantly, the reading experience would not be as enjoyable without the printed ones. E-books and printed books offer a wide range of benefits to the readers, thus, instead of replacing one, just let the both of them remain. Hence, let the readers who prefer reading digitally read the e-books and those readers who prefer the old-fashioned way of reading read the printed
