Where you have the most gun control, you have the highest crime rate.” was stated by famous musician Ted Nugent. When it comes to controversial topics in the U.S. Gun Control, it is always a topic that is discussed about. So which side should someone take? Should americans control guns or allow the freedom that they deserve. Guns are not the cause of these terrible incidents that occur but the people who carry the gun are the ones to put the target on. The idea of gun control is unconstitutional and has been proven ineffective.

As the last century has shown that with gun ownership doubling that murder rate has decreased majorly. For every 100 americans there are 88 people who own a firearm. With more guns and a high population there would be more gun violence right. Well yet again that thought is wrong the U.S. has the highest gun ownership out of any country and it ranks 3rd in population 28th is not a bad place. (Just) States with more gun restrictions have been reported to have more gun violence. For example, the “Windy City” Chicago, Illinois has restrictions on gun shops, shooting ranges, assault weapons, and high number magazines. As a result, they are cursed with one of the highest number of gun related violence in america. In 2014 Chicago had 2,089 shooting victims including at least 390 murders. (Chicago) This example demonstrates that even though the thought of gun restriction would seem to reduce gun violence it enhances it due to the fact that the people with guns are not as worried about other citizens that may be carrying
