How would you feel as a U.S. citizen if you knew the government was invading your privacy without you even realizing it? Well, this is something that is currently happening to people by the government. The government is currently invading people’s privacy without getting people’s consent. They are doing this by hacking into people’s phones and emails, letting police scan people’s faces and putting them into a database, and finally hacking into people’s social media accounts.

People think that this is bad because the police scan all of the people in the area that they live and put their face into a database. People don't like this because they think that the police are using this is getting out of hand, scanning people just to put their face into a database for the future (Chapman n.pag.) Police facial recognition is not used everywhere in the united states only in some areas (Chapman n. pag.) When people’s faces are put into this database they are scared because all of their personal info is also stored with their headshot. (Chapman n.pag.) People that go on these apps like Instagram, Twitter, and snapchat and have a high risk to have their info being leaked out this is because those app have a button that someone can click called “share your location” this is bad for people because anyone can see where they are. (Chapman n. pag.)Social media should be more protective because people can find people's names a lot easier than ever now that we have apps to find them (Chapman n. pag.) How businesses are now no longer able to violate U.S people’s privacy(Chapman n. pag.). Businesses are not not able to go onto there website and see what people are doing on that Website so that means that people are now safe to go onto websites and not worry about the business owners doing anything to boost sales of their company (Puzzanghera n. pag.)
