The U.S. has spent more on defense then the ten countries with the highest budget spending. Some people think that the U.S. spends way too much money on the military. But others think that there is no limit when someone is risking their life for someones elses life/freedom. “Our military’s unselfish sacrifice for our country can never be adequately compensated.” The U.S. has already made cutbacks on military spending. Nearly half. If they continue to make cut backs what will be left? People who see military cuts as an easy way to reduce budget deficits forget that this has already occurred. The government tends to try and disguise these things from U.S. citizens. The U.S. is spending way more on the military than needed. But, not everyone knows this. Although they are already spending less than they were once before. It’s one thing to fight for the country but would they be able to win the war with so many limitations? The U.S. must spend what is necessary on the military to protect everyone’s freedom and to make sure that others children, and grandchildren will also have the peace that they have.
