Racism will never end as long as people are living. Everyone has a right of free speech, and if the N word or being called spanish rather than Hispanic offends someone it will not stop people from saying whatever they please. The only thing that can, is bringing attention to the situation.Today in U.S history there was many questions regarding if Norwalk high is racist or not. Many people said yes, while other were blinded to this. Racism regarding the cafeteria was very clear, many stated that the cafeteria was separated between White and Black/Hispanic people. “ It’s just who you feel the most comfortable with” stated many times, yes that is true but that does not make it right. This does not mean that every person who come from a low income family is going to fail but majority will. It is truly a never ending cycle where pointing fingers seem to be the only way to pinpoint the problem. While some people who are blessed to have someone in their lives who motivate them, this sometimes can make people have expectations regarding opportunity. This might cause the person to feel as if whatever happens it will not have a big impact because of the color of the person 's skin or social class. A Recent race issue in Norwalk Ct : City Hall “ Steamboat days on the Mississippi” Mural issue. Blacks stated that The Mural does not need to be hanged up at city hall but rather in a museum, it portrays blacks as slaves. Whites on the other hand stated that people ( blacks) need to stop being so sensitive, it 's part of our history. That is true but if people take offense to something than it should not be a debate.This was an eye opening experience witnessing people be so inconsiderate to others.
