For the topics/issues we have covered in class, choose one where you changed your position during the course of the class. You can, and should, point to the material you were exposed to in class (discussions, videos, readings, etc.) and explain the process you went through to change your mind. You must outline both sides of the controversy, then state your opinion and how the materials in class facilitated the change. I believe not none of things are bad in premise but if done wrong the can have horrible consequences. But what this class make me see most clearly my views on nuclear power. There is the cons that it cause nuclear accidents, it is unknown what to do with the waste. Which causes huge conflicts, mostly do to the media, we only see the problems like chernoyl and fukashema. There is the downside of a high production cost, but one of the biggest cons is nuclear waste, that uranium half lives are hundreds of years and they have to find to place to put waste. This container has to be leak proof and underground. But though the news does not talk about we don’t see the good things like the amount power created. Then there is also problems with fossil fuels and other sources so maybe we should looking at the effect of smog and fossil fuels to. Nuclear destroys more people if it messing and cause more harm then other power sources but has problems less often. Then there are the pro’s nuclear provides a huge amount of energy and does not make CO2 destroying the ozone or doesn’t create smog. So my point of view that are talks and discussion solidfied is going to seem like a cop out but I believe nuclear power is good
