Jack Kevorkian once stated, ‘Dying is not a crime.’ Most individuals believe the option of physician assisted suicide is unethical but consciously choose to forget that the decision does have positive outcomes. The Hippocratic Oath has become a limb to critics who find the need to justify themselves. Human life entails death! This means as humans we should express the element of death and not look down on people who choose to die because ‘without death- human life does not exit by explanation.’ Comparable with two sides of a coin, human existence cannot take place without death. Individuals that reason every man has the essential right to be alive, likewise approve that every man has the essential right to die. Henceforth applied physician suicide should be practised if patients wish to end their lives.

This action, in countries which allow the option of physician assisted suicide, is known as the freedom to choose. Kate Cheney was eighty-five of age and suffered from terminal cancer. Her request to use physician assisted suicide was denied by her doctors. Kate’s daughter saw the recommendations put in place to safeguard her mother’s right to life as obstacles. A second opinion from a clinical psychologist suggested that Kate was pressured by her family to die. Kate then put herself in a nursing home to give her family a break from taking care of her. She returned home after a few months and took pills to end her life.
