Pistol, is a small firearm designed to be held in one hand and can be used for several tasks, which can be legal or illegal. Pistol had been first invented in China during the tenth century, and then later it has been transmitted to the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. Some countries have established shops to buy guns. In countries such as Canada and US, person who is above 21 years old has the right to own a pistol. According to the Guardian newspaper (2013), the estimated total number of guns held by civilians in the United States is 270,000,000. Also, gun ownership has increased dramatically in the United States by 88.8 percent per 100 residents, and this is due to many reasons.

Many people don’t believe that gun ownership by an amateur will increases crime rates. In fact, Tia Ghose, a journalist from the Live Science Center (2013), states that amateur gun owners are more likely to be shot with their own pistols as they don’t have enough experience. After high profile of shooting at shooting school centers, amateurs express high passion inside them when shooting on the targets, and this may create an inner problem to teenagers, which may lead to unknown consequences by the amateur. Also, Ghose mentions that United States of America has enormous weapons ownership rates, and also has high rate of shooting deaths. Moreover, a reason that will lead an amateur to own a pistol is depression. As a result, amateurs may use the gun they own recklessly if they get nervous of any dangerous circumstances.
