What does it take for people to notice the poison they are being fed? Is it the alarming death toll of obese people, or the deaths of people who suffer major health issues from consuming from these corrupted processed food companies? America has a problem, people always find a way to make products bigger and inexpensive to consumers. The producers try to make it affordable to the everyday person so they will consume the product, and since its hyper palatable they’ll come back for more frequently.

Income has played an astonishing role in people’s health and diet. The 2.6 million people who get paid at or near the minimum wage in 2015 of $7.25 an hour are victims of this monstrosity. Processed foods were meant for people who work minimum wage trying to make ends meet. Every fast food restaurant has a dollar menu which is something that everyone can afford even homeless people. Home cooked dinners are more expensive than going to a fast food restaurants and ordering from their dollar menu. A person can probably get twice as much food from eating out rather than buying groceries and cooking themselves. It is easy to say that most people are going to choose the option of getting more for their money.
