Rapid Eye Technology is the idea that we can find relief from mental trauma induced by personal experience or things that got passed onto us through our DNA by stimulating the body's natural process of REM sleep and utilizing life skills to chose a new path.
There is reason to believe that this practice, only developed over the course of 49 years is a piece of psychology that needs more understanding due to it’s highly philosophical nature that has not yet been studied in large part due to how new and controversial it is.

This is why when you are about to go to bed many things enter your mind at once. Part of RET’s effectiveness is because of this, with your heightened brain activity you can access your memories and process them over a broader spectrum.

Now that you have access to more information you can begin the processing stage, this is where everything comes into play. Because you are relaxed and have become more susceptible to suggestion, you now have a safe environment to process what you went to your session to work on.

Something interesting about releasing bad associations with memories is how can we get rid of ones what were passed on genetically? Our US in this case of the red room is likely that this person for some physiological reason had a hard time breathing at the time of being in this room. The UR and CR is having difficulty breathing, these are the same. The CS is the red room.

When you do RET the goal is to “break” or rewire these connections that were formed when you were conditioned with your irrational fear so that you can have memories and fears live side by side without interfering with your quality of life. When we look at how this works we need to see the parts of your conditioning and how they interact, the more you can explain the better help you can get. A person can still recall or remember a fear, but after going through the process of RET the goal is to have the ability to not re-live the trauma that you once experienced because supposedly you have broken this connection
