According to the argument, the author claims that the Prunty County should emulate Butler County to improve the conditions of the road to reduce the traffic addident rate. Unfortunately, the author has to further the argument with addithional evidence before she can legitimately come to the conclusion. To begin with, although the number of accidents has not decreased, it doesn 't necessarily mean that to lower the speed limitation from 55 to 45 miles per hour is of no use at all. Clearly, the author assumes that the number of accidents is equal to the degree of highway safety. However, how severe are these accidents are not mentioned.
The Interstate Highway Act of 1956(National and Defense Highways Act) was one of the largest public efforts that had constructed 41,000 miles of the system over a 10 year period. It was a work that had greatly revolutionized the way the world progresses while also enriching the quality of life for almost every American citizen. This event was important enough to remain in the textbook because socially it made traveling more efficient while also allowing citizens to travel to many more places inexpensively,economically because goods were able to be transported more productively which ultimately allowed many companies to lower transportation/production costs and enhance productivity/profits,higher gas prices due to increased production of cars,and
Gregg Easterbrook, a fellow of the Brookings Institution and LA Times contributor, argues in his article, “Road Kill,” that deaths on the highway roads in America is a large and ignored problem. Easterbrook argues that the cause of the deaths can be linked to horsepower and cell phone usage. The author also writes the problem is ignored, because of moral differences and the feeling that the crashes can’t be prevented. Easterbrook also writes that the fatalities are not just limited to the drivers on the road. The author writes about the increased number of fatalities of pedestrians when crossing the streets, which further adds to the argument that the problem needs to be adressed and not ignored like it currently is (1-2).
The poem Beneath the Shadow of the Freeway written by Lorna Dee Cervantes, and the movie Hidden Figures originally a book written by Margot Lee Shetterly both convey the theme of empowerment to hard-working, strong women who can be just as smart and diligent as a man without the actual help of one. Both Dee Cervantes’ poem and Shetterly’s movie/book voice the importance of being strong willed as a women and making a life for yourself regardless your situation. A further way to improve vehicle safety and reduce collisions is to promote technical developments like autonomous emergency braking systems and lane departure warnings. Last but not least, spending money on better road infrastructure will assist lower fatalities by fostering safer driving conditions. Canadian nationality has always been a question clouded with suspicion and a covered with a blanket of doubt. Out of all the different perspectives, and about all the different opinions of what it means to be a canadian, which one can be argued as fact? Are canadians able to develop an easily identifiable sense of nationalism? Through its extremely large population inhabited by people each with different opinions, its diverse range of cultures, and current attempts, it is safe to say that Canadian nationalism is not going to be easily identifiable.
No longer was small-town America able to stay insular, and cities within more isolated regions of the country saw growth. As highways grew, so did the number of people traveling on them. The highway has earned a reputation for danger over the years. Murdered hitchhikers and similar crimes lead to a lack of connection between people or fondness for the open road. Highways were not only an opportunity for growth, they were an opportunity for exploitation.
The major dangers of speeding include the environmental aspect, driving too fast for road conditions, and speeding kills. Driving responsibly is our duty as citizens. We must be defensive in our driving habits. Defensive driving is driving to save lives, time and money, in spite of the conditions around you and the actions of others. Also, defensive driving is the responsibility of everyone who operates a vehicle in our roadway community.
Such errors like driving too fast for conditions,lack of scanning that is needed to detect and respond to hazards,and,being distracted by something inside or outside of the vehicle. Cutting out those critical errors could theoretically could decrease the number of teen driving accidents by seventyfive percent. According to the Governors Highway Safety Association, speeding is the cause for one out of every three fatal car accidents involving teenage drivers. Automated speed cameras could be the solution to the rapidly growing speeding problem.
If cars were driving slowly, people would be able to sleep better. Another big problem is that the road is not paved. Fast cars stir up the little rocks and make dust go everywhere. The small rocks fly into people's yards, and the dust pollutes the air. These could cause big problems over time.

Speeding There are many effects of speeding, such as ticket fees, going to court, driver important class, and a rise in insurance. All of these effects will make you rethink speeding, no matter what the causes for speeding are. Speeding is a very serious matter that could be prevented. Running late, or just wanting to go fast are two of the major causes of speeding.
Speeding can be very dangerous. Speed limits are designed to fit each area. Studies have shown that as speed limits rise, more deaths do as well. School zones are one of the most important. I have small children going to school everyday.
These have a great effect on people’s work as there are many cars in the big cities so it makes it difficult to reach work at time. Actually the traffic jam wastes precious time of people just sitting in the car waiting for time to pass and for the cars to even move. Traffic jam makes it even difficult for people to walk and for some people who have sidewalk-to-sidewalk travel. Too many cars in a big city just makes it difficult for people to walk on a pavement and just get annoyed by the sound of the cars which is also noise pollution.
