For our generation we technology reaching new limits and politics reaching an all-time low. For decades America has been tarnishing the future of the next generation. Looking at America’s debt we are now 18 trillion dollars in deficit and increasing every day. Americans look at the government for benefits and “for that same reason, [they] must also address the crushing cost of health care” (Obama 69). Someone is going to have to make judicious decision about; and it’s not going to be by the soon to be retiring baby boomers.
To understand why we have to look back at the needs the wants that Americans wanted in the past and are still being asked. After 1945 income tax, which the United States uses as a source of revenue, has been drastically decreased. This revenue is used to pay civil servants as well as giving benefits to Americans. Now with this low budget and more Americans want more benefits. See, if you watch only fox news you will hear Bill O’ Riley complain how Obama will destroy America by trying increasing taxes. But looking at facts the American way of life is held by to many “holes”. Frist question that for any civilized person would be how on this terrestrial body is this possible?
