Do you think schools should have a 4 day schedule? In the past 20 years, schools have adopted the four-day schedule. There are no signs of stopping as 25% of schools are using that schedule. However, most of the schools that are using the schedule are in rural areas and west of the Mississippi River. Although this may sound nice, according to RAND, this causes students' achievements to suffer. They compared the English test scores from 3rd to 8th grade and found that scores dropped a little bit every year. Even though the numbers are small, it can add up in the long term.
