Leading up to the Industrial Revolution was a time of growth and respect for the people. The idea of Laissez Faire economics lets the people have more control over their businesses and personal wealth. This led to a better and more stable economy and government and also a boost in natural materials in Europe. Although the Industrial Revolution improved factory workers rights, wages, and hours, and city growth, ultimately it was detrimental to the European population due to the poor sanitation in the cities and a lack of daily necessities for the working class. The Industrial Revolution was a time of giving more respect to the people and helping them better stabilize their lives.
As a result more goods to produce, and more job opportunities for citizens. The Industrial Revolution also improved the standard living for city dwellers, who prior to the Industrial Revolution worked 16 hours at lower wages. Next, farmers move to cities increasing population among cities. Most of the cities changed social conduct, and political movements. 2.-
However there were some positives about the Industrial Revolution; which people will most likely argue about. For example, an insignificant amount of factories gave their workers an education, as well as a satisfying wage to put food on the table. Also in document three Andrew Ure states that no worker has been beaten during working hours. In addition, no worker has ever felt exhausted after a day of work.
I choose to defend the prompt of my choice in more detail. In the 1870's, as the Civil War receded into memory, the United States became a leading Industrial power. Advances in technology and new access to the immense resources of the North American continent drove American Industrialization. This industrialization brought the growth of new American cities such as Chicago, and the arrival of a flood of immigrants from all over Europe to man the factories. During the Gilded Age, businessmen reaped enormous profits from this new economy.
The new factory system allowed products to be more widely available to the public. The price dropped due to the increase of production and now even the lower classes in society could afford these mass produced products. “You are surrounded… with an infinite number of comforts and conveniences which had no existence two or three centuries ago and those comforts are not used only by a few, but are within the reach of almost all men.” (Document 4) Document 4 demonstrates the idea of how things products that didi’t exist previously was able to be in the hands of whoever wanted it. Another positive affect of the Industrial Revolution was how there were many more jobs available within society.
This revolution brought many hope, the Industrial Revolution was overall a positive time for the people of Great Britain: job opportunities had increased significantly, the amount of technological advances and new inventions was endless, and education finally played an important role in society. Another positive that came from the industrial revolution are worker unions. Worker unions are groups of people who try to create better wages and safer work conditions. These unions would go on strikes to get what they were fighting for. During these strikes, there was less pollution being admitted into the Earth, since there was no work going on in the factories.

On the positive side, it led to increased productivity, economic growth, and technological advancements that revolutionized transportation and communication. However, it also had negative impacts on workers, including poor working conditions, long hours, and low pay. It also had negative effects on the environment, contributing to pollution and other forms of environmental degradation. The Industrial Revolution brought many changes to society, both with positive and negative consequences.
Something that was good about the industrial revolution was that there was more workers and people could get payed more. Things that were bad was that little kids could. That’s bad because kid get hurt for example, for kids who worked on farms would ride on horse rakes and easily fall off and get crushed. Kids would get overworked after working 12 hours a day.
Subtle at first in its attempt our founding fathers manipulated society into thinking environmental injustice and the harm to a few would be prosperity for a greater society. So, it was not at the start of the industrialize revolution that the business of self-interest came into existence it was perfecting the ideology consistently. There has always been a society of people who has been most deprived of the basic needs associated with living and as a result has not enjoyed the benefits from the efforts of the industrialize revolution. Where industrial plants will acknowledge great employment opportunities for the community it fails to state most workers do not live in the community where the toxic pollution remains thus infecting the most vulnerable
The Industrial Revolution witnessed the evolution of large urban centers, such as Boston and New York City. It changed society from agrarian to mechanical, which further moved jobs to larger cities. As every coin has two sides, there are negative sides to this. Primarily, it caused severe pollution. The environment condition was bad with smokes surrounding them.
Their are lots of positives in the Industrial revolution. When the factories for products started being built, the factories gave thousands of unemployed workers jobs. With all the immigrants wanting jobs, more cheap housing was made so they can live right next to work. With these cheaper houses, also came cheaper more fashionable clothes. Industrialization can make life better for some, but it can also lead to oppression for others. Throughout history, people have oppressed others again and again, usually claiming that it is all done “in the name of progress.” We see this in the Peruvian Amazon Company’s treatment of the natives, and in the way that those who benefited from the rubber collected allowed the oppression to continue. The Industrialization of Peru made life for the natives rough, and often even impossible.
The Industrial Revolution began over 200 years ago. It changed the way in which many products, including cloth and textiles, were manufactured. It is called a "revolution" because the changes it caused were great and sudden. It greatly affected the way people lived and worked. A major debate among Historians is if the Industrial Revolution was helpful or harmful. The industrial revolution created a big change in the society of America. It was an age of innovation and creativeness for the inventors of the world. It was an age of sorrow and despair for the workers of the world.
