We all have someone close that we dearly care about, we depend on them, as they do on us, we love them, as they love us. Now, although this might be rough, imagine them starving, injured, sick, and pleading for help. What would you do? The act of cruelty, violence, and corruption are all unbearable whether it is towards humans or animals. An action of maltreatment occurs every day, all day, all around the world. According to the ASPCA, an animal is abused every 10 seconds in this country. If something has a beating heart, a mind of its own, and a set of feelings, why would you stand and do nothing to stop their pain? Many people tend to ignore the issue because of the ongoing question, “Do animals have emotions and feelings?”, studies have broken this myth and continuous experiments have revealed even more shocking details proving all animals love and suffer and should be protected.
