The plane had struck a flock of geese at 15,000 feet, disabling both engines. The pilot weighed his options, and decided to land his stricken jet in the Hudson. But was that the right choice-- to put passengers’ lives in danger? I think it was a good idea to crash in the Hudson River, because it could have gone a lot worse.
