When the Nazis incarcerated the Jews they took them to either an extermination or death camps, a concentration camp, slave labour or they were kept for slaves for high ranking officials. The concentration camps all had different purposes, originally for forced labour, work- and reformatory , POW (prisoner of war) and transit camps. Then some were slowly transformed into extermination camps, unlike concentration camps the death camps were built to kill, exterminate, the Jews. there was a total of six extermination camps built, the death toll was 3 million for these six.
