Program Evaluation There are several steps pertinent to effective program assessment. To begin with the first step is to explain what the parts of the program evaluation are. The program needs to be described and the goals must be defined. The purpose of the evaluation is explained and what the rational for the evaluation must be clear. Next the evaluation design will be determined. When deciding on what type of design will be used, there are a few things to take into consideration. The first being the study questions (what do you want to know), along with key variables, stakeholders (who will be affected by this evaluation) and conceptual …show more content…

Above the parts of a program evaluation were discussed. Moving the discussion on, the steps of program evaluation will be discussed. The first step in a program evaluation would be to engage the stakeholders. A stakeholder is any person or group who stands to gain or lose from the research (Monette, Sullivan, & Dejong, 2011). Is there a problem that needs to be addressed? What is the result desired from the evaluation? What is the point of this evaluation? All of these questions need to be answered when describing the …show more content…

Looking at who was studied and when they were studied is a beginning point. One must also take into consideration what approach was taken and how the date was collected. After all of the evidence has been collected and evaluated a conclusion will be made. What making this conclusion all of the data will be looked at and combined. During the conclusion process the findings will be analyzed to determine the correct findings. Then an interpretation of the findings will be made. This will tell what the findings mean. This will let the program know if the standards are being met. While the conclusion will provide many answers, it will are reveal if the design has any limitations and what other claims can be
