Ethnic cleansing is when a stronger ethnic group removes a weaker less know ethnic group in a forceful way. The purpose of ethnic cleansing is not just to defeat and enemy but to exterminate every member of the ethnic group, no matter who they are. From 1939-1945 the largest forced migration occurred. This form of ethnic cleansing was during the Second World War and was induced by the German Nazis. They forced millions of Jewish people, gypsies and people from other ethnicity into concentration camps. In these concentration camps most people were killed and those that were eventually set free have a heart wrenching story to tell. Many of the people in concentration camps were forced to do excruciating labor and were fed meager amounts of food.
