On March 7, 1998, 55 year old Mrs. Jadine Russell and her daughter were involved in a minor automobile accident. While on the side of the road assessing the damage, Jadine, her daughter, and two police officers, were taken by surprise, when alleged drunk driver, Keith Cook, lost control of his pickup hitting Jadine’s car. The Officer returned to the facility and spoke with the manager 'Chris" who initially stated he could not recall the event mentioned however after the Officer interviewed the staff person (Abundio) the manager was able to recall an incident involving 86 year old resident Gloria Jassen 's attempt to leave the facility. According to the Officer the manager remembered Gloria bleeding form her leg. The manager disclosed to the Officer that Gloria has skin cancer that causes several lesions on her legs. Furthermore the manager revealed that Gloria has a history of kicking him as well as other staff members. The manager subsequently revealed that Gloria 's family is aware of her attempts to leave the facility.
REPORTER: The reporter (Nicole) called with concerns for the victim, Skyler and Katybug. According to the reporter, Tiffany (mother) does not have a stable home environment for the children; she is going from house to house. Tiffany drops Skyler off with the babysitter (Ossie) and left her for 3 weeks (unknown when), without any food; the child (Skyler) complains about being hungry. Skyler’s hair is nappy and mom doesn’t care about her.
