Molly Wright was a 73 year old citizen that was found lying dead in a pool of blood in her own kitchen. Many have had their own speculations of what could have possibly happened, but the prosecutor was convinced that she was killed by blunt force trauma by the hands of her son-in-law David Hill. David Hill and Molly Wright were business partners in a market trading company. It is said that David was in severe debt and that days before her death she mentioned to David that she thought the bank was making errors on their joint account and that she was going to look into it. He stated that he tried to perform CPR on the victim but it was too late and he was unable to revive her. However, the findings of blood spatter expert Samantha Warna they amount of blood and the consistency that was on Hill’s clothing was conducive to him being close to the victim as she was being bludgeoned. The prosecution argued that Hill was very calculated and even called Wright’s phone from his car to let the voicemail record the radio station that he was listening to so that he could prove that he wasn’t there. Hill was seen by Wright’s neighbor Eric Smith who said that Hill became agitated when he asked him about all the blood all over him and asked him “what are you trying to say?”. There was rumors that Hill had qualms with Wright because he wife was set to gain $135,000 from her step-father’s estate and that Wright contacted her people and asked them to hold off on the proceedings because she was told that Hill was in a relationship with a man and was certain that a divorce was on the rise and wanted to know how that would affect things.
