The most interesting thing about Superman is that he was created by two teenagers that were immigrants and who due to selling the rights to Superman early had to fight most of their lives to get the recognition they deserved. Superman is a fictional superhero appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster both of which were born in 1914. Jerry Siegel's father Mitchell was a Jewish immigrant from Lithuania and died in 1932 a year before he developed Superman. One rumor from some of his family was that he was killed by a robber and this was why Jerry created Superman. Jerry would write storys in his youth that were rejected, this pushed Jerry Siegel to create his own called Cosmic Stories in 1929. Cosmic Stories was said to be the first Sci-fi fan magazine. Jerry didn't meet Joe Shuster till he moved to Cleveland in 1931. In 1933 Siegel developed a heroic character which would be the prototype to the modern-day Superman.
