Technology has always been the highest regarded peak in human innovation. Throughout history, humans have strived for a perfection of the ideal utopia; to accomplish the task at hand, to reach said destination, humans sweat for easier living and lavish work environments. Many great objects have been developed for the simple cause of helping humanity; an extraordinary amount of accomplishments were met in such a small timeframe, but the most critical period is the 1920’s. Americans advanced technology to the point that led us to swim in the blue, sweet, silky sky and benevolent creamy clouds. The 20’s fulfilled the gap that was left from the findings of the past decade and helped see a new future with those sets of data. The model T was about thirteen years old and still being a market leader and a comfortable price for the common person. The first radio station was broadcast in the early 1920’s which lead to the radio becoming very popular among the common citizen. The growth of the automobile lead to the invention and widespread use of the traffic light due to overcrowding in the streets of cities, the article “The Origins and Globalization of the Traffic Control Signals” by Clay McShane claims that the rise of traffic signals is due to the growth of automobiles and the sprout of urban traffic. Citizens could enjoy of these technology thanks to the invention of new technology that shortened the working hours and gave citizens more leisure time “The introduction of electrically driven machinery...had dramatically accelerated productivity in the 1920’s.”(Cooly 1). Many things were raging during the roaring 20’s and consumer products, social activities, and more for the everyday person, making life a little bit less
