Forgiveness is defined as “an action or process of forgiving or being forgiven” (Dictionary.com). Forgiveness is also described as “the resolute of overcoming anger and resentment that are naturally directed toward a person who has done one an unjustified and non-excused moral injury” (Murphy, J. G, p.15). According to the bible, when wrongdoers victimize individuals it is under the obligation of God to forgive: “for if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others of their sins, your father will not forgive you sins” (Matthew 6:14-15).
