Karla Cornejo Villavicencio’s The Undocumented Americans is a work of nonfiction that shins light on the lives and experiences of undocumented immigrants in the United States. While living a pretty rough life as a child being undocumented and having to live in the shadows, Cornejo Villavicencio shies away from preaching about her hardships and focuses more on the immigrant population in specific regions. Throughout her arguments and insightful experiences, Villavicencio adds to the bigger pictured situated around the idea of migration, challenging commonly held assumptions and stereotypes about these individuals known as immigrants. Immigrates should be allow to come to the United States because they're better jobs there ,and also they need money for their family. For example, many immigrates struggle to pay for their family needs and it's really hard because I had a friend that her parents had to move to the United States for better jobs. Her parents couldn't pay the bills in Mexico so the only way to get money and better jobs are in the United States.

Both the undocumented youth and the immigration rights activists have focus their attention on keeping families together by pushing the government to stop deportations. Through the use of nonviolence strategies, both movements have begun to flourish and succeed in some cases. They have expressed their stories to the public to bring awareness to the undocumented community, who are often times afraid of leaving their own homes. People are beginning to come out of the shadows and stand up for what they believe, they are no longer afraid nor ashamed of who they are.

I would say that a reason that a lot of people are against illegal immigrants having medical rights is that, immigrants aren’t the ones really paying to get their medication because most of the time they can’t afford it. I know for sure that medicaid was an advantage for kids the need it immigrants and now they aren’t giving medicaid out no more.
