The sanctity of life is important to everyone. The sanctity of life is something we must hold dear in our life. God gave us life, and we must never throw it away or take it for granted. If we did we are giving up one of God's most precious gifts to humanity. One example of someone throwing it away was at the school shooting that took place at Virginia Tech back in 2007. The shooter threw his, and others away that day. When he started he asked one simple question "Are you a Christian?" If you said yes he killed you. If you said no he shot you somewhere that might not kill you. I mean you could die from blood loss, but that would take longer than the actual shooting from when it started to when it ended. We are all made in God's image even that shooter, but he did not care and commited murders that day. The Bible tells us to value our live, because we were made by God in His image. God gave us life He did not have to, but He did.
I can think of one instance of violation of the sanctity of life. It is when David sent
Basgieva's husband to his death for his own personal gain. This seems just like lust which it is, but it also shows that not even a life can be in the way of sin. David might not have personally killed him, but he did kill him by giving him the order to go to the front lines. David broke the sanctity of life just so he could do an act that he would later come to regret in his life.
People no longer value it due to people losing their faith and hope. You hear stories about these things. When you think how could that person do this, or how did he get those weapons.
While at the same time another person could be saying "Why did God let them do that," or something a long those lines. People who think like that put in their heads that God didn’t stop the shooter from doing that. They think God should stop all evil before it happens. That is
