“Why do we have Ice?” I asked my mother. “Well honey,” she started, “The greek gods created it.” “How?” I asked, curiosity clearly taking over me. She exited the kitchen eager to teach me new things. She came back with a book in her hand, “Your older brother asked me the same question, so I made him a book” I reached out eager to have it, for such a simple question, I wanted to hear the answer. She flipped open the first page and began. THE MYTH Neptune realm of sea, earthquakes, ground, and water married the goddess Salacia who was in control of salt water. Neptune was deeply in love with her, but Salacia wanted her previous husband Salami the God of freshwater. One day, she decided to leave in search for Salami, she tricked Neptune into leaving her alone, he resisted knowing half her heart belonged to Salami, but he let her go in trust that she wouldn’t leave. She snuck out a secret passage of Mount Olympus in search for the meeting of Salami. Once she arrived in the middle of a great fresh water where Salami was sure to be at this time of year, she wandered the coastline knowing he was there, as she waited a noise came from behind a tree ‘crack’ this has to be him, she thought to herself.
