“Chuck, tell him to get back in the house and mind his business,” a boy finally said, grabbing some rocks and threw them hitting the fence. “All right you little brats, I’m calling the sheriff! “When I wouldn’t allow her repair the house she wanted to show off and petitioned the city to condemn and demolish it saying it was unsafe for me to live here. I refused to cooperate with her. After all, it was my home. The happiest day of my life was when they declared it an historical site,” he laughed and danced around the room. The old man had few friends among them were Virginia and Mary Jenkins. Virginia, a middle-aged woman with gray hair and a bit on the chubby side had been his friend for years. Still he, had trouble trusting her, since her intentions were not always clear still, he appreciated the things she did for him. Mrs. Jenkins an elderly woman in her late nineties with snow-white hair dressed like a model and looked like an angel. He loved her because she loved animals and always had a pet sitting on her lap while she sat on the front porch waving to everybody who walks by her house.
