The verse says: “And on either side of the river was there a tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month; And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations” (Bradbury, 158). This verse is showing what we have to look forward to. If we just trust in the Lord, and follow his plan for us, life after death will be rewarding. He will provide for us, and we will live forever and ever. The healing of the nation, and the few people left to preach the gospel to those who are suffering are ideas also found in Revelations.
Romans 12.6-8 also mentions prophecy but has other spiritual gifts listed. Serving is also considered ministering, such as with a deacon. There can be service of any kind that help those in need. Teaching is another gift that involves the word of God; this person must be able to explain the meaning, context and how Scripture fits into a person's daily life. The teacher must be able to be clear with his explanations especially with the doctrines of the faith.
Fear is a Battle with the Beast Within When fear is present, human beings have indescribable thoughts and actions. In the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding, british school boys have to deal with the wrath of true fear. When the boys are faced with fear they push civilization aside and become unrecognizable to others. Fear changes a person by changing their thoughts and actions. William Golding explains throughout the novel that fear is always lurking, and fear will change our minds based on the thoughts of the unknown that controls the way we act and the emotions we feel.
With the passage of time, Apostles perceives the prophecy of Jesus to be correct. Various things that were foretold before the occurrence for present lifetime are turning out to be true. Jesus predicts the answers to Apostles . “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Instead, it lets us be known by God. He concludes this section by stating “Gods knows us better we than we know him”
He reminded his followers that traditionally “The Christian Church in the past has taught us to do our work with our eyes fixed on another world and a life to come.” Here, he is basically saying that as amazing as heaven is we need to improve the world around us while we are here. He referred to the bible as having “social wealth”, meaning that the society at the time could find lessons and inspiration if they read the texts more carefully. The bible reads: “In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts, 20:35)
Luke 24:49. f. The 120 received the power of the Holy Spirit
I had just received the 7 special gifts of wisdom, understanding, knowledge, fortitude, counsel, piety and fear of the Lord, to support my mission and testimony. Although I am surrounded by the Holy Spirit every day, today was a day that I sealed the journey, through a mass with my classmates and a gathering with my loved ones. The Gospel of Luke promotes Jesus’ humanitarian work and service to others. Luke’s portrayal of Jesus’ character and teachings is one of compassion, forgiveness, and charity. Luke focuses on Jesus’ concern for women, the poor and social outcasts. These groups of people were considered second class citizen during that time.
