The differences and similarities between Martin Luther King Jr's speech and Malcolm X's speech are what brought their powers together and what they had done to help the black community. The first piece of evidence that I have of their similarities is where it says in MLK Jr's speech that he wants to have peace and not to cause any more problems than there already. Therefore they have the same inconsequential ending to the problem that would help all of the black community. Although Malcolm has the same goal as MLK, that doesn't mean that they solve the problem the same way. The goal of peace and to have rights happens to be the same as Malcolm X's. Instead, he wants the black community to start businesses so that the money they gather can go into their neighborhoods and help several other black families. The third piece of evidence is that Malcolm wants everyone to own and operate their businesses in the black community. Martin looks at it in a different way than Malcolm, so instead, he uses picketing and boycotting along with nonviolent protests. The white community might try to stop them all but they just keep doing gestures of strength and protests. Martin and Malcolm both use different tactics but they were all very helpful. The fourth piece of evidence that I have is where it says in Malcolm X's speech that the black community needs to start businesses so other communities don't get the opportunity or the job. This is different from Martin's because he chooses to picket and boycott instead of using Malcolm's idea to start businesses and gather money in their neighborhood.
