Have you ever read a page in a book (or a paragraph, or even the entire book) only to find you have no idea what you just read? It happens to all of us, but with Kiera Cass’s books, you will not find yourself in the same situation. Kiera Cass currently resides in Christiansburg, Virginia, and is the bestselling author of The Selection series and The Siren. If you give her a piece of cake, she will be your very best friend. And I am sure she would appreciate if you indulged in her novels, which consist of princes, princesses, competitions, and sirens/humans who kill people in debt to the Ocean. All in all, you will find yourself in LOVE with her easy-to-follow writing, simple word choice, and centralization. It will be hard not to adore the characters she has created through heartfelt characterization, whose lessons and tales will never quite be forgotten. Maxon is awfully sweet and it is evident Cass utilizes characterization and makes you feel strongly connected to them (mostly in love, though sometimes in hate). “If you can be satisfied with that, then find a way. If not, then please, for everyone’s sake, let him go.” (pg. 113). Kahlen, the protagonist in The Siren, learns that if you love someone, sometimes you have to let them go, for their own sakes.
