Globalization In China The US gets more of their products from China and US companies have many factories in China, such as Apple, Sony, Walmart, etc. Many of the companies have factories in China because the workers work for less in China but are the companies making sure the workers are being treated right? Globalization is impacting laborers in US owned factories in China because Chinese workers use the factories for their money for most of their life because they depend on the factories for income.and worker being put to work in unhealthy working conditions and small dorms where bed bugs have spread throughout. This source interviews workers in Chinese factories and the worker seen like they were getting treated good by their factories owners.This source shows that globalization is impacting workers in a good way because maybe the workers didn’t access to any of those things and now they do. Worker are getting better education and the working conditions are improving. Labor conditions changed. Workers have higher levels of education. The Chinese are making laws to help their workers but are not enforcing them. Cam 11 @ (Human Rights in China and US policy. Article, 2011). This shows that the government knows something is wrong and they’re making laws but the government are not enforcing these laws which is causing the factories owners to keep running the factories however they want too.This is bad because this will cause workers to keep getting underpaid and keep working in unhealthy working conditions. China reject trade deals that contain labor standards. (Burtless @ www.brookings.edu, Article 2001). China knows they’re doing something bad and are not caring for workers in their factories. Quality. Independence. Impact. The Chinese government rejected the deals that contain labor standards and this pretty much means that the government doesn't care for the workers or their safety. If the government doesn’t care for the workers then the poverty and death toll will rise because of the working conditions and workers being underpaid. Human Rights issues are on the US agenda with China. The US knows something bad in China is happening and they want to try to help China with their problems. HRF 12 Human Right First (Article, 2012). The US knows that the working conditions are bad and that workers are being underpaid. The US doesn’t know how to address the issue with the Chinese government because they’re not even caring for their workers.
