The documentary of The Star of Bethlehem was a very interesting piece. Mr. Larson spoke very well about his side of the argument. He also, talked about the other side of the argument, which proves he was avoiding being bias. His message that he was trying to show, had a huge impact on me. Mr. Larson impressed me with his interesting findings of The Star of Bethlehem. What Mr. Larson went through to find out about the star seemed to be very stressful to him and I’m shocked he still tried to find out more and more about the star. Mr. Larson made the documentary very impactful to the audience and myself, but he also gave strong evidence about his argument with the uses of ethos, logos, and pathos. Larson uses the use of logos, which makes Larson’s side of the argument valid. Everything he says, he always has actual evidence to back up what he believes about the star. Mr. Larson brings up past astronomers and uses the Bible to back up his evidence and to prove he is right about his side of the argument and not just making this up. He uses the Bible verses to show the audience that the star is an actual event in our history because some of the verses talk about the star and how it affected the people around Bethlehem. When he uses the astronomers, he brings up the charts and videos of how the star was portrayed to people. He explains that people would look at this sky all the time, and that's how the realized something interesting happened, such as the star. He said that Jupiter passed Venus, and when the biggest star and brightest star passed over each other, it was the brightest star in the universe.
